Find your voice…

It has been scientifically proven that our thoughts have energy. Without getting too la tee da into this, just understand that what you’re thinking, impacts how you’re feeling, and how you’re feeling impacts the actions you take which therefore gets a result, positive or negative. Understanding this is very powerful in attracting what you want (and don’t want) into your life. The Success Track starts with finding your voice – I call it your fuel for success.

The other day I had lunch with a guy I hadn’t seen in nearly 20 years. We were both University students back then, and today he’s top executive of a company you would know well. After some idle chatter, I asked him how he landed this amazing job, and he said, “Well, I’m a turn-around guy and I got a call …”. A ‘turn-around guy? I’m curious…

My hat’s off to him. After he explained that he had a formula for fixing certain troubled companies, and turned small businesses into multi million dollar enterprises, I was totally impressed mostly because he found himself. He found something he loves to do and is very good at it, which from my experience, a combination few ever manage to achieve.

Beyond the thousands of self-help books that promise results, the truth is this… finding your voice is about understanding what it takes for you to perform, the sacrifices you are willing to make and learning the pitfalls to avoid to become successful in your life.

Have you ever stopped to figure out what you stand for? As a business valuer, my job is to calculate and determine ‘commercial value’ and risk in a business. But what about ‘value’ or risk in your life?

When was the last time you measured the value of success in your life?

Food for thought!  Have an awesome week.
